Hey Champion,

S-U-G-A-R...clearly, too much sugar is not good for everybody, with all the unpleasant consequences from tooth decay to obesity and diabetes to heart disease.

Processed from sugar cane or sugar beets, white table sugar is 99.5 to 99.9 percent pure sucrose. It lacks vitamins, minerals, fiber, protein and trace elements.

Powdered sugar is simply pulverized white sugar. Brown sugar is white sugar with some burnt white sugar or molasses mixed back in for color and taste.

The Bottom Line: Sugar is Sugar is Sugar, whether it is white sugar, maple syrup or barley malt….so avoid whenever possible.

"For the battle is the Lord's." -1 Samuel 17:47.

Today let's make our faith very practical.

If we believe that the Lord God, Maker of the universe, actually lives inside of us, then why do we so easily fret over trivial things?

There are a few possibilities:

1) We don't really believe what the Bible says, "God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19.

2) We think it's our responsibility to take care of ourselves and not God's, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." Proverbs 3:5.

3) We believe living with stress is a normal part of life down here on earth, "Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7.

Exercise of the Week: Quietly meditate on this verse: He who is IN YOU is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4. Who is IN YOU?
"LORD, there is no one like You to help the powerless." 2 Chronicles 14:11
