Contrary to what the pharmaceutical companies try to get you believe via the media (TV, radio, billboards, etc..), your body is designed by it’s Creator to heal itself. The question is not only ‘how does it heal itself’ but also ‘how did it get in the unhealthy condition it is in?’ This again is something we Americans have bought into from various manufactures using the media (again) to make their products look so innocent or even ‘good for us’.
The following is a list (guideline) - although not exhaustive, to follow. These are backed with scientific studies and experiments and endorsed by various HEALTH doctors. Note: Not ALL M.D.s are ‘health doctors’, which study restoring health through proper nutrition and dietary approaches WITHOUT drugs.
Ten Things You Should NOT Consume
#1. Processed Meats – hotdogs, high fat luncheon meats, pepperoni, bacon, sausage, and ham (ALL pork products) Over 20 human diseases come from pork. Unclean animal by biblical guidelines. University of Southern California did a study and found that a child who eats just 3 hotdogs per week has - not twice, not 3 times but NINE (9) times the chance of developing Leukemia.
#2. NutraSweet, Aspartame, Equal. Used in most diet soft drinks, found in chewing gum and other diet products. Lots and lots of studies and experiments have proven this product time and time again to be a brain cancer causing agent. One packet of Equal has 10 TIMES the EPA set limit of Methanol for a child. 10% composition of this product is the same thing as paint thinner.
#2a. Splenda. This is one I experienced myself as every time I would eat Blue Bunny ice cream with Splenda I got a headached that lasted for days - then I made the connection. Splenda is not recognized as sugar by the body, and thus is not metabolized and causes a host of health problems, including enlarged liver and brain, reduced growth rate for infants and adults, mineral losses and enlarged colon, to mention a few. Stick with natural sweeteners - like raw honey.
#3. Hydrogenated or Partially Hydrogenated Oils. Commonly found in margarines, peanut butters (Jiff and Peter Pan), Crisco. This fat does not absorb into the body and is the #1 leading cause of obesity, diabetes, arthritis, breast and colon cancer, chronic fatigue, Glaucoma, Multiple Sclerosis, Arteriosclerosis, and high blood pressure! Use real butter (preferably organic) when needed. Use olive (extra virgin preferably) or canola for oils. READ THE LABELS!
#4. Shellfish – Lobster, shrimp, oyster, clams, crab and scallops. Also biblically unclean animals. Arthropods - scavengers. A lobster is nothing more than a giant underwater roach! Also avoid tuna – has high levels of mercury, lead and arsenic in the meats.
#5. Junk Food – DUH! Chips, cookies, cakes, candy bars etc. Refined sugars. If it comes in a cellophane wrapper, leave it alone! Use more natural sweeteners when needed, such as Carob, Fructose (fruit based sweeteners), Stevia, Xylitol and Barley Malt Sweetener – found at your local health food stores. Find more natural (preferably organic) snacks.
#6. Procter and Gamble's Olean and Olestra. This is a fake fat and the body does not process it since it is not natural. Read the labels on this. Common product example is Lay's WOW potato chips. This product is known to cause diarrhea and ‘rectal seepage’. If you buy this, you may want to buy some Pampers as well.
#7. Tap Water – The chlorine and fluoride (among a multitude of other impurities) used in the water supplies even to ‘clean’ it are toxins to your body. Drink filtered pH balanced water. Write me on how to do that.
#8. High Fat Dairy Products. NO homogenized nor pasteurized milk products. Definitely nothing with ‘Bovine Growth Hormones’ being used. First choice is to use raw certified goat’s milk if needed (closest to human milk there is). Also available is Soy or Rice Milk. If not available, use organic skim milk. The use of dairy products has been linked to be the highest cause of Osteoporosis and infants who drink this have a higher probability of developing allergies and asthma type problems as they grow up. This is a mucus forming product.
#9. Caffeine. Found in coffee, tea, sodas and chocolate. To avoid intense headaches, do not go ‘cold turkey’. Wean yourself off them a little at a time. Caffeine use is linked to heart diseases, fibroid tumors in women and breast cancer.
#10. Alcohol. Use in moderation only. Can cause breast cancers, prostate cancer, and liver cancer. One ounce of alcohol can reduce the body’s ability to burn fat by up to 35%. (Imagine what a whole bottle will do?) |
